Pendi

A classic piece of Turkmen carpet featuring the "Pende-göl" design from the ornamental repertoire of Salor carpet weaving. All carpet products made in the Caucasus, Iran, Turkey, and Afghanistan have a genetic link to Salor carpets. The "Salor-göl" has exerted a significant influence on the ornamental traditions of these carpet-weaving regions and is one of the most ancient patterns of the central carpet field. Salor carpets are distinguished by a particular refinement. Despite the diversity of the color palette, it remains within the range of strict and deep tones.
